Services for Victims of Crime

Starting October 1, 2019, victims of many violent crimes will be able to apply to the Victim Quick Response Program + (VQRP+). VQRP+ will help cover emergency and essential expenses, funerals and counselling costs. You can apply if you have suffered physical, mental, emotional or psychological injuries as a result of a crime of violence, for example: assault, sexual assault, criminal harassment, child abuse, domestic violence. To apply for compensation the crime must have taken place in Ontario. 

Our clinic may be able to provide assistance with completing a VQRP+ application. In addition, we can provide advice to a client on the process of applying for benefits, how to gather information for the application, and the preparation for the hearing.
